Strausstown Volunteer Fire Company No. 1- organized and chartered in 1915, this organization is what most would refer to as "the Fire Company" is the organization that owns the fire apparatus, most equipment and responds to the emergency calls. It is made up the Chief officers, responsible for preparing and leading the firefighting effort, and the administrative officers, responsible for the business side of organiztion.
Strausstown Volunteer Fire Company Relief Association- this organization was created as a result of PA Act 84 of 1968. The organizations sole purpose is to provide safety equipment and protection to volunteer firefighters that may suffer injury or misfortune as a result of their participation in the volunteer fire service. The organization receives an annual allocation from a State tax on foreign fire insurance companies. The funds can only be spent on eligible expenses and the organization is audited for compliance every three years by the PA Auditor Generals office.
Strausstown Volunteer Fire Company and Community Campus- this organization was created and incorporated in 2011 for the purpose of purchasing the former Strausstown Elementary School property for use as a fire station and community property. It is a 501c(3) recognizzed organization.
Strausstown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary
